Welcome to The View Point - April 2012

Issue 1

By -  Dennis Sherrard - Managing Editor

Welcome to The View Point.  Our new blog site is focused on being the place for you to come for a discussion of a wide variety of topics and opinions from multiple authors.  The blog is a monthly publication, with new issues published on the first day of each month.  The topics that will be covered at The View Point are up to the writers.  We'll publish whatever they want to write about, and we'll publish your commentary on what they write about.  The only "rules" are to keep it civil.  The writers will cite the sources of their "facts or assertions" and are expected to behave themselves when engaging in conversations with those who comment on their articles.  That's about it as far as rules go.

This month's issue brings 4 great articles to us that I know you'll find entertaining and interesting.  We start with an article that gives us a personal definition of what it is to be a Libertarian, followed by a trip back to the "good old days", when Gas Prices were only 30 cents per gallon. Next up is an intriguing proposal on how to deal with one of the more contentious issues of the day: contraception and abortion, and we close this month's issue with a poignant story of a young man's memories of the day Dr. Martin Luther King was murdered so very long ago.

I hope you enjoy The View Point.  I hope you'll engage with the writers and let us know what you think.  Please,  join the conversation.
